YOUNTVILLE BOOKMARK STORY CONTEST
Submissions will undergo a blind review and the best stories chosen. Winners will receive a plaque, a $100 prize, and their story will be printed on bookmarks distributed through Napa County Libraries.
Each writer must be a resident, worker, or student in Napa County. A writer can submit one or two unpublished stories, either in prose or poetry format, with a limit of 60 words per story. Each submission must have a title and may not include any profanity or disparaging remarks. A winning story connects all elements together, shows creativity and originality, and is concise. Please do not put your name on the uploaded document.
You can submit your story in English either as an adult or youth (age 18 or below) or in Spanish as a youth (age 18 or below).
Submissions will be accepted starting April 6th and are due by June 30th, 2026. Winners will be announced on September 24th, 2026, at the Bookmark Stories Celebration. The Bookmark Stories Contest is a collaboration between the Yountville Library, Friends of the Yountville Library, and the Yountville Arts Commission.
