Welcome to the WestonArts Festival '24 - SOLFEST!
Art call deadline: May 31st 11:59pm
Join the WestonArts Festival '24 at the beautiful Hurlbutt Elementary School Field in Weston, CT, Saturday, June 22nd 2024 (rain date: Sunday, 23rd) Art Festival 12:00pm -7:00pm + evening of live music till 10pm! 
This fun-filled festival will kick off summer with fantastic art, artisan goods, great activities, gourmet food, and incredible live music will be enjoyed by tons of art patrons and families from Fairfield County, NYC/Tri -State area, and beyond!

1. WA Gallery (art submission(s) for group show/sale) $30.00 per application
2. Artist Booth Space a: Single 10'x10', b: Double 10'x20' - Booth spaces $100.00 regardless of size
3. Emerging Artist/Artisan Booth Space (age 25 and under) 10'x10' - $1.00
4. Artisan Booth Space (specialty items, fashion, accessories, home decor/goods, food, etc.) Single 10'x10' Booth space $100 (email WA to request larger space)
5. Activity Booth Space Single 10'x10', Booth space $100.00 (email WA to request larger space)
6. Community Partner Booth Space Single 10'x10' Community partner booth space $1.00 (email WA to request larger space)
7. Untented Exhibit Space (Outdoor untented space for items such as sculptures, outdoor furnishings/decor.) Single 10'x10' $100 (email WA to request larger space)

WAF'24 Festival General Information:
A) ART Festival Hours: (12:00pm-7:00pm)WAF'24 is a fair weather event planned for Sat, June 22nd 2024 and has a rain date of Sun, June 23. ALL applicants are expected to be able to attend on either date. WAF'24 committee will be determining acceptable weather conditions and all registrants will notified by email by 6:30am as to the weather related determination. In the event WAF'24 committee determines that weather is unsuitable both days - registrants will be refunded fees.
B) Check In/Set Up: Sat, June 22nd 2024, between 8:00am - 9:30am (you will be notified via email of your specific check in/set up time slot). 
C) Festival Day: Sat, June 22nd 2024 (rain date of Sun, June 23rd). Exhibitors must be set up by 11:30am on festival day. Booths must be open throughout the festival open hours of 12:00pm-7:00pm with artist/artist representative or participant on site. Please keep your space clean and tidy.
D) Breakdown/Cleanup: At close of Art Festival portion of event at 7:00pm. Participants may not breakdown their display during Art Festival hours of 12pm-7pm. Participants are responsible to leave their site clean, free of garbage/debris. 
E) Booths/Tents: Single, double. Participants must provide their own weather resistant, weighted tent (staked tents not permitted), display system, and all items needed to showcase and sell their work. White tents preferred. Tents must be able to be fully enclosed and protect booth contents from all weather and conditions. Displays must be able to withstand crowds, wind, rain, and all weather conditions. 
F) Tent Rentals: To inquire about renting tents/tent accessories from outside vendor, please contact Mike at: MitchCo. Tent & Party Rentals, 3129 Main Street, Stratford, CT 06614, Phone: 203-378-5434, Email: mike@mitchcoparty.com. (supplies limited, first come/first serve)
G) Security: All participants are responsible for securing their booth/booth contents and protecting them from the elements. Neither WestonArts Inc., Weston BOE, nor the Town of Weston assume any responsibility or liability whatsoever for participants booths/booth contents.
H) Exhibitor/Participant Eligibility: The WAF'24 is open to all persons regardless of race creed or color, sexual orientation or national origin. We believe equal opportunity is extremely important and every individual is unique in their own way. We strive to create an open, inclusive, and equal environment in which every individual has the opportunity to flourish. The WestonArts committee reserves the right to refuse anyone that does not honor this DEI commitment.
I) All Art Should Be of Subject Matter Suitable for General Public: It is not our intention to censure any artwork; WA reserves the right to determine suitability of art on display.
J) Participant's Consent: By participating in the WAF'24 all participants agree to allow usage of festival images, including images of art and merchandise, to be used by WestonArts Inc. for the purposes of marketing and promotional material.
K) Fully Refundable Good Faith Deposit (note: listed as fee in application form): Upon acceptance into the festival (notification made June, 7th 2024) participants (excluding WA Gallery) will be required to pay a fully refundable $200 no-show/cleanup deposit. Participants are required to set up during festival set up hours, to be operational during hours of 12:00pm-7:00pm, and to return space clean/empty of debris to be eligible for refund. Participants meeting the requirements will be fully reimbursed within 10 business days after festival closing.

Some required fields you will need to fill out when making application, relate to the WA Gallery entries only. All applicants are to see relevant notes for how to fill out specific details in form:
* Pay For How Many: All Applicants (besides WA Gallery) select 1 application. WA Gallery applicants select quantity of your submissions (1-3).* Category: Select from drop down your choice.* Sub-Category: Select drop down menu of your choice.* Application Title: Enter your booth name/company name or for WA Gallery title of the piece(s).* Dimensions: WA Gallery enter your specific piece(s) measurements. All other applicants enter: height - 1, width - 1, depth -1* Description/Statement: Applies to all applicants - write brief statement about your work/booth.* Sale Price: Is specifically for WA Gallery art. All other applicants must enter in the value of 1 - DO NOT select from drop down menu or type in 0.00.* Booth: All applicants must make their selection in this field. If you are applying to the WA Gallery only select - not reserving booth.Note: Fully Refundable Good Faith Deposit (listed as fee) $200 will be charged upon applicant's Festival acceptance on June, 7th 2024 (see item K in Festival General Info for details).* Entry Attachment: All applicants upload Image(s) (jpg, png, pdf -for smooth process have digital images ready to upload).

1. WA Gallery Application/Overview Info:
Artists, submit one-three piece(s) of your work (see WA Gallery art guidelines below) to apply to be eligible to join the WA Gallery - juried group show/sale. Non-refundable submission/processing fee(s) is required to complete the application, each submission $30.00. Submissions will be reviewed by our esteemed jurors. Selected work will be displayed in a large gallery style group exhibition. First, Second, Third, and Emerging Artist (age 25 and under) ribbons/cash prizes will be awarded and artists will be notified and invited to attend the WA Award Ceremony.Artists have the option to exhibit their work and/or offer it for sale. Price to be determined by artist, 70% of purchase price to artist / 30% purchase price donation to WestonArts Inc. Art sales are made on site either through cash, or credit card. Art to be picked up by patron or by artist at the WA Gallery tent between 7-8pm on festival day. WA will be offering to showcase art not sold over the weekend in the WestonArts|ArtCall Online Gallery. Please follow up with a WA representative to hear specific details of this opportunity.
WA Gallery Art Guidelines: All art submitted to be original art created by the submitting artist. Accepted art must arrive for check in at the rear entrance of the Weston Senior Center (walk to back of building to enter by the garden), 9 School Road, Weston, CT,  Friday, June 21 during art check in/drop off hours of 11:00am-2:00pm. All hanging art must be ready to hang and wired securely. Hanging art size maximum 36" x 36", 3D/Sculptures maximum size 5' tall x 2' wide (artist must provide suitable/sturdy table or stand if needed for display). Please note in application if sculpture is suitable for display outside the tented area.

2. Artist Booth Space General Info:
(Booth/Tent must meet all requirements outlined above in WAF'24 General Information Section E)
Artists Booth Space: a. Single (10'x10') b. Double (10x20') $100 regardless of size
Art Guidelines for Artist Booths: All art forms welcome, examples: painting, drawing, original artist prints, mixed media, sculpture, ceramics, glass, hand crafted jewelry, metal works, hand crafted furniture, artist made textiles, etc. Our intention is to create a diverse and balanced show.
Artist Booth Application Steps Overview:* Click on Register & Apply and create an account.  * Complete application (*refer to: Important Application Detail Form Instructions - above).* Submit 1-3 images of your work/booth (jpg, png, pdf - for smooth process have digital images ready to upload).* You will receive email confirmation of application registration.* Notification of jury status/next steps via email on June 7th 2024.

3. Emerging Artist/Artisan Booth Space General Info (age 25 and under):
(Booth/Tent must meet all requirements outlined above in WAF'24 General Information Section E)
Artists and artisans (age 25 and under) Booth Space (single 10'x10' $1.00).  WestonArts welcomes voluntary (tax deductible to the extent that the law applies) donations from our emerging artists/artisans. To donate: please go to www.westonarts.org, or mail check made out to WestonArts Inc. to: WestonArts Inc., PO Box 1124, Weston CT 06883.
Emerging Artist Booth Art Guidelines: All works must be original art created by the artist/artisan.
All art forms welcome, examples: painting, drawing, original artist prints, mixed media, sculpture, ceramics, glass, hand crafted jewelry, metal works, hand crafted furniture, artist made textiles, etc. Our intention is to create a diverse and balanced show. 
Emerging Artisan Booth Merchandise Guidelines: (specialty items, fashion, accessories, home decor/goods, food etc.) Merchandise should be of fine quality of an artisanal nature. Proof of food permits required. Permit forms with the Aspetuck Health District can be accessed via: https://wwhd.org/permits-forms/

4. Artisan Booth Space General Info:
(Booth/Tent must meet all requirements outlined above in WAF'24 General Information Section E)
Artisan Booth space: a. Single (10'x10') $100 (email WA if larger space is needed)
Artisan Booth Merchandise Guidelines: (specialty items, fashion, accessories, home decor/goods, food etc.) Merchandise should be of fine quality of an artisanal nature. Proof of food permits required. Permit forms with the Aspetuck Health District can be accessed via: https://wwhd.org/permits-forms/

5. Activity Booth Space General Info:
(Booth/Tent must meet all requirements outlined above in WAF'24 General Information Section E)
Activity Booth Space: a. Single (10'x10') $100 Note: Activities must take pace in the interior booth/tent space and not spill over into the public area, please contact WestonArts to arrange for booth spaces larger than (10"x10') if needed.
Activity Booth Space Guidelines: (children's & adult crafts, or other interactive offering) WestonArts will be offering a painting on canvas activity at the festival - similar activity is not eligible for application.

6. Community Partner Booth Space General Info:
(Booth/Tent must meet all requirements outlined above in WAF'24 General Information Section E)
Weston Community Partners (examples: Weston Public Library, Lachat Town Farm, Weston Historical Society, Weston Girl/Boy Scouts, etc.) are invited to apply (single 10'x10' $1.00) booth space at the WAF'24. WestonArts welcomes voluntary (tax deductible to the extent that the law applies) donations from our Community Partners. To donate: please go to www.westonarts.org, or mail check made out to WestonArts Inc. to: WestonArts Inc., PO Box 1124, Weston CT 06883.
Note: If hosting activities in your booth/tent, activity must take pace in the interior booth/tent space and not spill over into the public area, please contact WestonArts to arrange for booth spaces larger than (10"x10') if needed.

7. Untented Exhibit Space:
(Outdoor) untented space for items such as sculptures, artisanal outdoor furnishings/decor.) All displays must be secure and able to withstand crowds, wind, rain, and all weather conditions. Please contact WestonArts to arrange for spaces larger than (10'x10') if needed.
Untented Sculpture/Artisanal Merchandise Guidelines: All sculptures/displays are to be exhibited within the designated outdoor space. Merchandise should be of fine quality of an artisanal nature.
