The New England Mosaic Society
Invites all members to participate in a

CALL FOR ART
2025 Collaborative Exhibition

Where:  Becket Arts Center, 7 Brooker Hill Road, Becket, Massachusetts
When:   May 16th through June 8th, 2025

Applications accepted from January 7th, 2025  - April 30th, 2025 until 6:00pm

This is a non-juried show open to all NEMS members whose 2025 membership dues have been paid.   All work submitted will be acceptedTo renew your NEMS Membership for 2025, or to join, visit us here

Here is an example of one mosaic that was created by two artists partners in 2024; Cathleen Newsham started the mosaic on the left, then mailed the 1/2 finished piece to Carrie Fradkin, who completed the mosaic as seen on the right.  (They discussed the project before starting and decided that they would mail a small amount of tiles with the 1/2 completed works so the 2nd artist could blend the tessare into the 2nd half.)

Submissions are now being accepted by the teams that have registered  
January 7th, 2025  - April 30th, 2025 until 6:00pm

Application Fee:  $20 per person.  (This fee covers the cost of creating this website.)
Only 2-D work can be submitted for this exhibition
Size restrictions for each piece:  All work must be 11"x 14" or smaller and must be wired and ready to hang

Sale Of Art
The Becket Arts Center asks that all artwork be for sale.  The gallery will be taking a 25% commission.
Artists will receive 75% of the sale, which will be paid monthly according to the sale date. 
You and your partner should decide the sale price of each piece together, keeping in mind the commission the gallery will be taking.
If you do not want to sell your work the gallery is asking each artist to pay a hanging fee of $25.00 per entry.  So, if you do not want to sell and you are shipping the work please include a check for $25.  If you are dropping off, please hand it to a staff member when delivering your piece.  
Checks for the gallery fee should be made out to The Becket Arts Center.

Delivery Of Art
Your work can either be dropped off or mailed.  If mailing, please use USPS. 
Drop off dates for art are May 7th, 2025 - May 11th, 2025 from 12:00pm - 4:00pm.
If you are mailing, please make sure your package will arrive between May 7th, 2025 - May 11th, 2025.
