"The Mixed Effect" A Mixed Media Arts Exhibition
White Bear Center for the Arts is hosting “The Mixed Effect,” an exhibition featuring selected works from regionally-based mixed media artists of all levels. The show will be curated by a panel of Twin Cities artists which will be announced after the call for entries ends. Selected works will include a variety of techniques and approaches to mixed media, and the exhibition will have educational components to introduce visitors to the wide array of mixed media.
CALL FOR ENTRIES:
White Bear Center for the Arts (WBCA) is a growing nonprofit community art center known for enriching lives, nourishing imagination, and building understanding through art. Our mission for our exhibition spaces is to create a vibrant platform for showcasing diverse perspectives while nurturing artists of all levels and abilities in our community and beyond.
White Bear Center for the Arts (WBCA) is looking for mixed media artists to exhibit their work for a curated group exhibition titled “The Mixed Effect.” The exhibition will be composed of Minnesota-based mixed-media artists, representing a range of techniques, and materials.
All works must be recently completed and original in composition and concept, and executed solely by the artist. Once selected, works must be gallery-ready for hanging or displaying. Artists will have the opportunity to sell their art with a 40% commission to WBCA.
Submission Dates: November 5-December 15, 2025, by 11:59 PM
Entry fee: $25 (up to three entries).
Notification of Selected Works: The week of January 12-16, 2026 (by email)
Exhibition Dates: Feb 9-March 27, 2026Location: Exhibition Hall and Atrium at White Bear Center for the Arts
