Surfing Madonna Oceans Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Encinitas, California and was officially formed in 2013 by Robert Nichols and Mark Patterson (artist of the Surfing Madonna mosaic). Our intention is to partner with local arts groups and recognize the excellence of local artists and promote the arts through active engagement between artists and the community.
ELIGIBILITY
You may submit if you’re a California artist & your original work was made within the past 3 years.
ENTRY FEE
You may submit up to 3 pieces for FREE

GENERAL PRESENTATION REQUIREMENTS
We strive to protect your work. To prevent possible damage to it, artwork must be appropriately prepared for exhibition when delivered.

Two-dimensional work must be wired with sufficient gauge to support the weight of the work and be ready to hang. If your work requires atypical hanging, please contact the Gallery prior to delivery dates for clearance. Special hanging, display and/or lighting requirements will be at the discretion of the gallery staff. No saw-tooth hangers.
Installation and multiple piece works must include a simple diagram showing installation positions.
Accepted artwork may not be removed before the end of the exhibition.

Artwork that fails to comply with entry requirements will be disqualified.
There is a 40% commission on works in the exhibition.
LIABILITY
By submitting I acknowledge that I have read and understand the general presentation requirements of the exhibition and will abide by them. The greatest possible care will be taken in handling art works. Surfing Madonna Oceans Project and/or their agents will not be responsible for loss or damage to any artwork submitted.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES FOR JURYING
Submission ends December 14 at 11:59AM
Artwork accepted into the show will be notified by December 18, 2025

Gallery hours: Tuesday 11:00am - 5:00PM, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 11 - 4PM

NOTICE OF ACCEPTANCE/NON-ACCEPTANCE
Artists will be notified through email December 18, 2025
