Society of Arts and Crafts (SAC's) & Stonehenge Gallery:
The 2020 Photo Competition
The call is open!
What will happen to this juried exhibition if we find ourselves still in the grips of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in July? This exhibit will not be cancelled. We will get creative! We will host this exhibit virtually and award prize money. We will celebrate the fine art of photography and the people who produce it! Submit today!
Open Call to Photographers — Juried Competition/Exhibit
This exhibit is presented by the Society of Arts & Crafts (SAC’s), a non-profit, 501(c)3 charitable organization committed to the advancement of art education and art appreciation. The month-long event will be exhibited at Stonehenge Gallery, one of Montgomery, Alabama's premier art galleries/art frame shops. See the SAC's and Stonehenge menu items at the top of the page for more information about them.
Submission is open to all photographers (professional and amateur), working in all forms of photography. Four categories are offered.
2. Black and white
3. Alternative process
4. Manipulation (digital and film)
The cost to enter is $25. You may enter up to three images for that fee. There is no theme for this exhibit. There is no time limit for when you produced your work. Let's elevate photography as an art form. Show us your best!
Images previously shown at any Stonehenge Gallery exhibit are not eligible for this competition and should not be submitted to this call.
Awards: Best in show — $1,000
Best in category — $500 (four awards)
The exhibit runs July 11-31, 2020, with an opening reception at Stonehenge Gallery on Saturday, July 11, at 5:30 p.m.
