Small Worlds 2027 — Online Exhibition & Sale
Curated and Sponsored by Hunter Guise Gallery
Call for Artists
Enter Small Worlds 2027, a curated online exhibition presented and sponsored by Hunter Guise Gallery.
This open call invites artists working in traditional, handmade media to share original artworks that celebrate personal expression, artistic interpretation, and the unique worlds artists create.
Up to 100 works will be selected and featured in an online exhibition running January 1–31, 2027, offering participating artists increased visibility and opportunities to connect with new audiences.
Theme: Small Worlds
Places & Spaces • Objects & Moments • Inner Worlds
Every artwork opens a window into a world of its own.
Small Worlds invites artists to explore the places, objects, experiences, and imagined worlds that capture our attention and imagination. From familiar surroundings to the deeply personal, this exhibition celebrates the artist's ability to transform the ordinary, the overlooked, and the intangible into something extraordinary.
Places & Spaces may include intimate landscapes, quiet interiors, gardens, architecture, or atmospheric environments that evoke a sense of place.
Objects & Moments celebrates still lifes, everyday observations, fleeting experiences, and the relationships between familiar things.
Inner Worlds welcomes abstraction, imagination, memory, and emotional expression—artwork that reveals something beyond what we can see.
We welcome both representational and abstract work that demonstrates a distinctive artistic voice through composition, colour, texture, atmosphere, and interpretation.
Above all, we are looking for artwork that invites viewers to pause, look more closely, and discover a world within the work.
Small Worlds refers to the ideas and experiences expressed through the artwork, not its physical dimensions. There is no size restriction.
Exhibition Categories
Artists are asked to select the category that best reflects their submitted artwork:
Places & Spaces: Landscapes, interiors, architecture, gardens, and environments that evoke a sense of place.Objects & Moments: Still lifes, everyday observations, fleeting experiences, and relationships between familiar things.Inner Worlds: Abstract, imaginative, emotional, and personal interpretations of the world.
These categories are intended to guide submissions and help organize the exhibition. Artwork may relate to more than one category; artists should select the one they feel is the best fit.
All submissions will be evaluated together, and awards will be selected from the exhibition as a whole. There are no separate awards or selection quotas for individual categories.
