Riot of Color invites artists working in all media to submit work that treats color as an active force—expressive, disruptive, excessive, intentional, or unruly.
This exhibition explores color beyond decoration. We are interested in work where color drives meaning, emotion, tension, or experience. Submissions may be bold or restrained, chaotic or precise, playful or confrontational. Harmony is welcome, but so is friction.
Rather than a single aesthetic, Riot of Color embraces contrast: saturation alongside subtlety, control beside excess, joy brushing up against unease. Together, the selected works will form a chromatic environment that rewards close looking and visceral response.

ELIGIBILITY

Open to artists [local / regional / national]

All media welcome, including but not limited to painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, sculpture, installation, fiber, digital, and mixed media

Works must be original and completed within the last 2 years

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

no submission fee!Submit up to one entry, 3 images per entry

Include title, medium, dimensions, year, and brief description

Installation requirements must be clearly noted

JURY & SELECTION
Works will be selected based on:

Strength and intentionality of color usage

Conceptual clarity or visual impact

Craft and execution

Contribution to the overall exhibition dialogue
THERE WILL BE PRIZES! (announced at the opening reception)
