CALL FOR ART The Printmakers of Cape Cod: 50 Years of PrintmakingThe Cape Cod Museum of Art
We invite our members to submit their most recent printmaking work, highlighting the diverse range of practices within the Printmakers of Cape Cod. This exhibition celebrates all forms of printmaking represented by our membership.Submitted works must have been created with in the last two years and should not have been previously exhibited in a Printmakers show or at the Cape Cod Museum of Art.We look forward to showcasing the beautiful pieces you will share. The exhibit will span a wide range of styles, from traditional to contemporary, representational to abstract, and conventional to unconventional approaches. Featured works may include intaglio, relief, lithography, woodcut, collagraph, monotype, etching, experimental surfaces, digital imagery, serigraphy, 3D work and more. Each artist will bring a distinct voice to the art of printmaking, reflecting the evolution of the craft over time.We hope to invite the public to explore the enduring and ever-changing nature of printmaking through an exciting and diverse collection.
ENTRY PROCESS:
Online entry is with ArtCall.org starting January 1, 2026 and ending March 30, 2026 at midnight.
When you log in to ArtCall, there is a tutorial on how to upload your images and information. ArtCall allows changes to your submission until deadline.
We are asking for a minimum of3-5 entries. This will allow our curator to make aselection. Our curator will select 1-2 pieces from every member who submits the required number of pieces.
There is a single entry fee of $35.00
Included with your images. Members need to supply a brief description with each submission of your printmaking process used to create the work you have entered.
ELIGIBILITY:
This exhbit is available to all current members of the Printmakers of Cape Cod. Membership must be up to date through 2027.
The Printmakers of Cape Cod fiscal year runs 7/1-6/30

CURATOR: Lynne Allen
Allen’s work has been exhibited widely nationally and internationally and is included in collections at the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Museum of Modern Art Library, the New York Public Library, New York; the Corcoran Gallery of Art, the Library of Congress, Washington, D.C and the Victoria & Albert Museum, London, among others. Selected exhibition venues include the Whitney Museum of American Art, The North Dakota Museum of Art, The Victoria and Albert Museum, London, The Virginia Museum of Fine Art, as well as international exhibitions in the Guanlan China Biennial (juror in 2019); the International Printmaking Biennial of Douro, Portugal; The Novosibirsk Print Biennial, Russia; and the International Print Triennial, Tallinn, Estonia. Artist residencies include Senezh House of Artists, USSR; the Guanlan Printmaking Base, China; Caversham Press, Kwa Zulu Natal, South Africa; Grafikenshuis, Mariefred, Sweden; the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, VA; Byrdcliffe Artist Residency, NY, as well as artist workshops/lectures abroad (Iceland, Poland, Denmark, China, Slovenia, South Africa, Russia, Sweden).
Honors include two Fulbright Scholarships (USSR 1990, Jordan 2004-05), two Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Research Grants, a New Jersey State Council on the Arts Grant, and a Pennsylvania Council on the Arts Grant, Diploma Award Tallinn International Print Biennial, and a Prilla Smith Brackett Award finalist and a Guggenheim Fellowship award for 2025 in Fine Arts.
Allen holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of New Mexico and a Master of Art for Teachers from the University of Washington. Lynne previously served as Director of the School of Visual Art (2006-15) and as Dean ad interim of the Boston University College of Fine Arts (2015-17). Prior to coming to Boston University, she was Professor of Art at Rutgers University, Director of the Brodsky Center (formerly the Rutgers Center for Innovative Print and Paper), and Master Printer and Educational Director at Tamarind Institute.

SUBMISSION OF JPGS OF WORK
Jpgs will be uploaded to ArtCall.
Digital images must be print quality a minimum of 1920 pixels on the long side at 300 dpi for the catalogue and publicity purposes.
REQUIREMENTS:
There is no limitation on size.
All work must be ready to hang (wired-no sawtooth) or equipped with installation apparatus. All framed works should be in narrow exhibition frames and white mats suitable for museum display.
SALE OF WORK:
Artists will agree to the museum commission at time of application unless works are listed NFS
