Ideas for the theme

Pathways guide us as we navigate through the world. They can appear as well-trodden trails, garden paths, corridors, or roads. Often, pathways are tucked away in hidden corners—between buildings, down alleyways, or within urban environments. Many pathways might take you out into the world, some leading to places outside of urban settings, such as down to a creek, or, like Alice in Wonderland, to a whole other world. These places often hold countless untold stories, and as an artist, you get to tell their story.A mental pathway might involve daydreaming, mapping out one's life journey, or simply drifting through a range of emotions. This art show offers the chance to interpret your concept of a "pathway." Artists are invited to submit artworks in various media such as paintings, photographs, jewelry, and sculptures. Each artist can bring their unique approach to depicting "Pathways," making for a thoughtful and interesting exhibition.

Understand, I’ll slip quietly

away from the noisy crowd

when I see the pale

stars rising, blooming, over the oaks.

I’ll pursue solitary pathways

through the pale twilit meadows,

with only this one dream:

You come too.

-Rainer Maria Rilke
