Our Valley is an exhibition celebrating the landscapes, people, and stories that define the Shenandoah Valley here in Virginia. This exhibit invites artists to honor the spirit of Winchester and the surrounding region through work that explores our past, present, and future.

We are seeking artwork that captures the beauty of our rolling hills, farmland, historic streets, and open skies, as well as the individuals and communities who shape life here. Artists are encouraged to reflect on the deep roots of this place — its agricultural heritage, layered history, traditions, and resilience — while also considering contemporary life and the evolving vision for our Valley’s future. From historic architecture to festivals, family farms, small businesses, and everyday moments, this exhibition celebrates both the legacy and living culture of our region.

Through painting, photography, drawing, mixed media, textile work, or sculpture we invite you to tell the story of Our Valley — a tribute to the land we call home and the people who continue to shape it.
The exhibition will be showcased at the ShenArts Gallery, a prime location on the Old Town Walking Mall.

Notification of Acceptance: June 12
Art Drop off: June 29
Opening Reception: July 3, 5-7PM
