Small Town: Small Works 2025 (OPEN CALL)Small Town: Small Works is an open call exhibition showcasing artwork 15” or smaller by local artists that live within a 15 mile radius of Woodstock, GA. Small Town: Small Works will be on view at the Reeves House Visual Arts Center from November 7 - December 24, 2025.An opening reception will take place on Friday, November 7th from 6:00pm-8:00pm.Entry Fee: $15 entry fee for up to (5) submissions is non refundable. Artists are responsible for transportation and delivery of work to and from the Reeves House Visual Arts Center. Not all accepted artworks will be displayed at the beginning of the exhibition. Following each art purchase, the work on display will be readily gifted to the buyer. After which, another piece will be taken out of storage and hung in the purchased works place. To aide us in this rotation process, please aim to have all of your submitted work be similar in size. Thank You.Entry Requirement: Artists must be over the age of 18 and live within a 15 mile radius of Woodstock, GA. Artwork size must be 15” or smaller in any direction (INCLUDING FRAME). Any artwork that exceeds 15” (INCLUDING FRAME) will automatically be disqualified.Notification: All notifications will be sent by October 13th via email to the address you provided on the application. Artcall.org automatically sends emails once a decision has been made about your artwork. If you do not receive an email by this date, please check your spam folder. You can also log in to artcall.org at any time to check for an updated status of your submission. Please no phone calls. Artwork Requirements: Work may be no larger than 15” (including frame) in height or width.Up to 5 submissions per artist.Only original artwork will be accepted. Works previously shown at the Reeves House will not be accepted.Artists may not substitute another work for an accepted work, alter a work, or withdraw a work after it has been accepted.All artwork must be available for sale – the artist will receive 60% of the sale price, and the Reeves House will retain 40% of all sales (after processing, taxes, or fees, if applicable). All work must be professionally presented and ready to hang/install upon delivery. (Please closely read this linked document:"Picture Frame Hanging Hardware." This document goes into great detail about what hanging hardware is considered acceptable and unacceptable and how to properly install it)Hanging Hardware:Accepted: Wire, D-rings, cleatWILL NOT BE ACCEPTED: sawtooth hangers, plastic frames, clip style frames (most of the hardware that comes on store bought frames is not acceptable - please refer to above linked document for more details)Works on paper and photographs must be framed and protected under glass, plexiglass, or other protective covering. Gallery wrapped canvas or wood panel is acceptable without a frame, but it will need hanging hardware installed.Wall hanging fabric works will need to include a hanging device, such as a casing sewn with a dowel or rod included.Sculptural work and freestanding pieces must be installation ready. The Reeves House Visual Arts Center, first opened in May 2021, boasts an expansive open-plan exhibition space, a large education studio for art classes, and a coffee shop/wine bar. Our art exhibits rotate every 8 weeks and feature a wide variety of compelling art from local, national, and international artists, combined with robust public programming.
