Artistic Goals of the Commissioned Piece:
The primary location for the commissioned artwork is the exterior academic entrance of the Health Science Building (image above). The commissioned sculptural artwork should convey energy and excitement in a celebration of wellness. The work should convey the mission and function of the Health Sciences Building which is "Promote Lifelong Holistic Human Health" to the students and faculty traversing the adjoining quad.
Practical Considerations:
Artwork considered for the Miami Health Science project must be durable and suitably maintenance-free. The commissioned work may include kinetic, electrical or lighting elements if easily maintained. No water features should be incorporated into the work. The image of the artwork site location is above.
