NHAA Call For ArtMarch 2026  "Fledgling: Artists under 30"
ABOUT THE EXHIBIT: A juried exhibit highlighting the work of up and coming Fledgling artists. Artists selected for this exhibition who have never been members of the NHAA before will receive a free one-year membership. Cash prizes will be awarded!  First place will receive $300, second place $200, and third place $100. Don’t miss this opportunity to showcase your work in our gallery in downtown Portsmouth! ELIGIBILITY: All New England artists under 30COMMISSION STRUCTURE: Artist retains 60%, NHAA retains 40% of sale price.

JUROR RESULTS RELEASED: Monday, February 16DROP OFF OF ACCEPTED WORK:  Sunday, March 1, 4 p.m.-6 p.m. and Monday, March 2, 9 a.m.-6 p.mOPENING RECEPTION: Friday, March 6, 5-8 p.m.PICK UP OF WORK: Sunday, March 29, 4-6 p.m. and Monday, March 30, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
ARTWORK ACCEPTED: 

1-3 pieces of work per artist
2D work – maximum framed dimension 60” in the longest direction INCLUDING FRAME.
3D work - smaller 3D work must not exceed 32" H and must fit within a 24” footprint to display securely on a gallery pedestal. If you have larger 2D or floor standing 3D work, please call the gallery to discuss size and display options.All work must be created with the last 2 years and not shown at the Levy GalleryAll artists must adhere to our PRESENTATION AND FRAMING GUIDELINES  (click here) and NHAA EXHIBIT AGREEMENT (click here)  FOR ALL ARTISTS UNDER 18 YOU MUST HAVE A PARENT OR GUARDIAN REVIEW THE NHAA EXHIBIT AGREEMENT AND GIVE YOU PERMISSION TO SUBMIT YOUR ONLINE SUBMISSION.
JUROR FOR THIS EXHIBIT: Mike GauthierWith over 30 years in the creative industry, Mike Gauthier brings a seasoned eye for design and communication to his role as juror. A consultant and creative strategist, he has led marketing and communications initiatives for Fortune 500 companies across biopharma, healthcare, and financial services, with a career grounded in the power of visual storytelling.As a member of the New Hampshire Art Association’s Board of Directors, Gauthier recently led the organization’s full rebrand, modernizing its visual identity while honoring its 85-year legacy. Passionate about supporting the next generation of artists, he brings both professional insight and a deep appreciation for innovation and risk-taking to his evaluation of emerging talent.
