The Rio Grande Art Association (RGAA) is now accepting oil and acrylic category entries into the Standard Fine Art Division of the 26th Annual MasterWorks of New Mexico Fine Art Show. MasterWorks of New Mexico consists of four separately juried and judged shows. This call is for New Mexico residents only. SUMMARY OF GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

ENTRIES:  Up to 3 works may be submitted in the oil/acrylic category. Maximum of 2 works may be accepted by RGAA.ENTRY FEES (NON-REFUNDABLE): $15 fee per painting, paid through this ArtCall.ENTRY DEADLINE: All digital entries, paperwork and fees must be received by 5pm on Saturday, January 27, 2024.SUBMISSION PROCEDURES:  RGAA will only accept oil and acrylic painting entries.  Be sure to have properly prepared image files, all information, and a credit card ready.PAINTING SIZE LIMIT :80 sq. inches minimum image size.PAINTING TITLE LIMIT: 25 characters, including spaces.FRAME SIZE LIMITS: 72˝ high; 48˝ wide are maximum outside frame dimensions.FRAMING: Must meet professional standards. Refer to MasterWorks prospectus. WIRE: Must peak at 3½˝ below top of frame.LABLES: Your name, painting title, medium, and price are to be on back of each painting. No name plaques! DIGITAL IMAGE SPECIFICATIONS: See the prospectus for instructions.ENTRY CONFIRMATION: You will receive email confirmation that your entries were submitted. JURY NOTIFICATION: All artists will receive email by Saturday, February 10, 2024 to notify them of acceptance/non-acceptance.AVAILABILITY OF PAINTING: If an accepted painting is unavailable for the show, or does not meet show requirements, artist will be prohibited from entering that media following year.Both unavailable and presold works require a 25% donation of price on the entry form submitted to the media’s sponsor.REFUSAL OF WORK: MasterWorks has the right to refuse any work which fails to meet entry and eligibility requirements or work deemed inappropriate for public viewing.REPAIR FEES: There is a $5 charge if hanging wire or frame needs to be adjusted or repaired when delivered to venue. SALES MasterWorks of NM will handle all sales and collect theapplicable gross receipts tax. RIO GRANDE ART ASSOCIATION (RGAA) MEMBERSHIP REQUIREDIf you are not a member of RGAA, payment of the $35 annual membership fee must be made first through the RGAA website at www.rgaanm.org.ELIGIBILITY: You must be a New Mexico resident to be accepted into this show. Submissions by out-of-state residents will not be accepted, and the entry fee will not be refunded. Two-dimensional wall art must be done in a painting medium or combination of media, including oil, acrylic, classic egg tempera, ink dye, or encaustic, not framed under glass or plexiglass. At least 80% of the surface must be hand painted. Any relief elements used within the two-dimensional work may extend or recede up to 3˝. Compositional focus should be on creativity, originality, and the development of personal expression.INELIGIBLE FOR ENTRY:  Paintings previously accepted/shown in RGAA-sponsored juried shows, including ¡Encantada!, cannot be submitted.FRAMING REQUIREMENTS: All accepted paintings must be framed or wrapped to gallery quality standards without glass or plexiglass. Sides of gallery wrapped canvases must behand painted.ONLINE REGISTRATION REQUIRED: Submit entry through this ArtCall,  and pay applicable entry fee online. Checks will not be accepted.
