MACC - The Art of Printmaking: A Visual Dialog

Description

This call is open to printmakers of all levels of experience, from emerging to established artists living in Northern California Counties (SF, Solano, Yolo, Sacramento, Stanislas, Eldorado, Placer) and Nevada counties (Washoe, Storey, Carson City and Douglas counties). All forms of printmaking such as etching, lithography, wood and lino cut, screen printing, and monoprints are accepted. The work must be original (no giclée's or RISO). Contemporary printmaking techniques such as Gelli plate printing will also be permitted. Work must be completed within the past 4 years.

Size and weight restrictions are nothing bigger than 36" wide and 48" long, and nothing weighing over 30 lb. will be accepted. If you have questions or concerns, send an email with pictures to clarify to Cheryl@cordovacouncil.org.

Your work will be juried via photographs so make sure the photo exemplifies the work, or it will be turned away at intake. Each artist may submit up to 3 entries for $15. The Juror will be Summer Ventis of Sacramento State University.

Dates and Deadlines
Online Submission - Mon. June 16 by 11:59 pm.
Artist Notification - Fri. June 20th via email
Art Dropoff at MACC - Tue. June 24th` | 12-6 pm.
Artist Reception - July 11 | 5:30-7:30 pm.
Pick up Artwork - July 29 | 12-6 pm.

If Artwork cannot be picked up by the 29th please make arrangements with Art Director ahead of time. You may have someone pick up for you. MACC will be closed for the month of August; all work must be out by July 31st at the latest.

NOTE**** Art not picked up within 3 days will become property of Cordova Community Council as seen in Section 6 of the Artist Waiver agreement you signed to enter this show.
All Artists must print and sign the Artist Waiver and bring it in when you drop off your artwork.
