CALL FOR ENTRIES

HYPER COLOR
Exhibition Dates:  January 21, 2027 to March 3, 2027

HYPER COLOR is a group exhibition celebrating art that turns the saturation up. We're looking for works where vivid, intense color is the main event: electric hues, bold contrasts, glowing palettes, and pigments pushed to their limits. Color becomes the unifying thread that ties a diverse show together into one visual conversation.
What We're Looking For
Work in which saturated color drives the piece, whether abstract, figurative, or conceptual.    Accepted mediums: painting, illustration, printmaking, photography, textile, mixed media. The entire piece doesn't need to be hyper-saturated, but we'd love to see bold, vivid color play a key role somewhere in the work, whether that's a dominant palette, a striking focal element, or a standout passage of color that anchors the piece
Submissions will be evaluated on engagement with the theme, technique, overall mastery, creativity, and originality.
THE Gallery, located inside the Belvedere Tiburon Library, is proud to showcase outstanding Bay Area artists at every stage of their careers. Each exhibition reaches thousands of visitors, including regular gallery and library patrons as well as people passing through on any given day. This accessibility is part of what makes HYPER COLOR such a fitting theme: saturated color communicates instantly, without requiring any art historical background to appreciate. It stops people mid-stride, stirs an emotional response, and invites a kind of looking that doesn't ask for expertise, only attention. Working in bold, concentrated color is also a real challenge for artists. It’s a study in contrast, harmony, and intensity, and that shared pursuit becomes a unifying thread across a show featuring many different hands and styles. We hope HYPER COLOR sparks genuine conversation between artists and viewers, and we remain deeply grateful to the community of artists who make this possible, sharing not only their work but themselves. Thank you for being part of it.
