Open Call: forwART 2026 
International Exhibition at Fabian Freese Artspace

Fabian Freese Artspace invites artists from around the world to apply for forwART 2026, an international group exhibition who have an Contemporary approach in the work.

We are looking for 10 artists worldwide whose work will be part of an international group show in Wuppertal / Germany near Cologne and Düsseldorf with many big Art Museums in the area.

All selected works must be wall-hanging pieces (paintings, drawings, photography, mixed media, etc.). Maximum of 1 x 1 meter.

The exhibition will open on Saturday, July 11th, 2026, at 5:00 PM at Fabian Freese Artspace. During the exhibition, one artist will be selected to receive gallery representation with Fabian Freese Artspace.

We welcome submissions from artists of all backgrounds and career stages who are ready to move art forward.

Theme: Forward – Contemporary Art in any form which you can hang at a wall.

Exhibition opening: Saturday, July11th, 2026 – 5:00 PM

Accepted media: painting, drawing, photography, mixed media, wall sculpture, objects. All works must be able to hang at a wall. Maximum of 1 m height x 1 meter wide (deep max. 50 cm)

There is application fee for the selection und curation process of 49 Dollars. No other costs are charged when the artist is selected by the jury. 10 artists with one artwork each will be juried into the group show. One artist out of 10 artists of the exhibition will be selected for a gallery representation and will win a soloshow at the gallery by the End of 2026. Selected artists are responsible for shipping the artworks to the gallery and back after the show.
