Current Threads 2025 highlights the work of Surface Design Association members in the British Columbia and Yukon region. The intention of the exhibit is to inspire conversations and new directions while raising the visibility of fibre and textile media.  CALL FOR ENTRYSurface Design Association members living on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands (VISDA) invite SDA members in British Columbia and the Yukon regions to submit one artwork for Current Threads 2025 held this year in the MAIN Gallery at the Cowichan Community Centre in Duncan, British Columbia. This annual exhibition is non-juried and features textile art that is current and highlights fibre and/or textile art techniques.Small Wonders 2025 is a separate call. British Columbia and Yukon region members are also invited to participate in our Small Wonders 2025 Exhibit which will run at the same time as Current Threads and will be held in the ANNEX Gallery in the Cowichan Community Centre.   CALL INFORMATIONSubmission Dates- Call is open from 1pm January 15 until 7pm March 31, 2025 (PST)Exhibit Details- The MAIN Gallery at the Cowichan Community Centre, Duncan BC- Exhibition dates June 5 - July 3, 2025- Reception June 19, 2025, 1-3pm Awards- SDA Award of Excellence, juror Jane Kidd- People’s ChoiceArtist Eligibility- Open to SDA members who live in British Columbia or Yukon.
