Contemporary Sculpture ExhibitionThe Art Center, 1 Washington Street, Dover, NH
The Award-Winning Art Center in Dover, New Hampshire, extends an open invitation to artists for its juried art competition and exhibition highlighting sculpture. Artists are encouraged to submit their works crafted from various materials, such as clay, bronze, wood, stone, granite, metal, fabric, paper mache, and more, for consideration in the Contemporary Sculpture Exhibition.Exhibition Dates: September 8, 2025 - October 31, 2025 Submission Deadline: July 5, 2025 (11:59PM}Notifications: July 10, 2025Eligibility and Requirements: Artists must be at least 18 Years of age and reside in the United States. Acceptable mediums include Clay, Bronze, Wood, Stone, Granite, Metal, Fabric, Fiber, Paper Mache and other materials. Sculptures must be suitable for indoor display. Free-standing sculptures must be stable and not easily tipped over. If free-standing, a liner must be provided to protect the floor. Artists are responsible for installing sculptures weighing over 50 lbs. 
Sculptures must not exceed 12 ft in height, including any pedestal, and width should not exceed 3 ft. An application fee of $35 is required. Each artist may submit up to 3 entries for consideration. Entries must be the Artists’ original design. Sculptures must be available for sale for the duration of the exhibition. The Art Center will retain a 30% commission on all works sold. The Art Center reserves the right to reproduce entries for catalogue and publicity purposes. Submission Process: Artists are required to submit images of their finished works for consideration. Images should accurately represent the sculptures and showcase their artistic merits. Submissions must be received by July 5, 2025 for consideration. Acceptance notifications will be sent out by July 10, 2025. Exhibition Details: The Contemporary Sculpture exhibition will occur from September 8, 2025  to October 31, 2025, at The Art Center. An artist reception will be held on August 3, from 6-9 pm, providing an opportunity for networking and engagement with attendees. The exhibition aims to celebrate the diversity and creativity of contemporary sculpture in various mediums. Visitors will have the opportunity to view and purchase unique sculptural works throughout the exhibition. 
Delivery Dates: August 31 - September 4, 2025,  from 10 am - 6 pm De-installation and Pick-up: Artists are responsible for de-installing and picking up any unsold sculptures between, November 1 - 3, 2025, from 10 am to 6 pm. Please ensure prompt retrieval of artworks to facilitate the smooth conclusion of the exhibition. We look forward to receiving your submissions and showcasing your remarkable sculptures at the Contemporary exhibition. 
The Venue:
The Art Center is an award winning creative community that has over 6,000 square feet of space in a renovated historic mill building at One Washington Street in downtown Dover, New Hampshire. The facility includes: ten artists' studios, a rotating residency studio, a large well equipped printmaking studio, and a stage for music, theatrical performances and poetry readings.
