2025 Selected Exhibitions Program Open Call
Applications to Capture Photography Festival’s 2025 Selected Exhibitions Program are open from September 9, 2024 until October 18, 2024 at 11:59 PM PST for exhibitions presented in galleries and informal spaces. Capture’s vision is to connect Vancouver to the world through lens-based art and act as a platform to expand visual literacy. Through this platform, we strive to give voice to traditionally underrepresented communities, and to present compelling, urgent lens-based art. 
Projects will be evaluated by a jury of arts professionals who will be looking to showcase lens-based exhibitions in the Selected Exhibitions Program that demonstrate artistic excellence across a diverse range of subject matter.The 2025 jury consists of: 
Richard Hill, Smith Jarislowsky Senior Curator of Canadian Art, Vancouver Art GalleryGonzalo Reyes Rodriguez, Artist and Assistant Professor, Emily Carr University of Art and DesignEve Schillo, Associate Curator, Wallis Annenberg Photography Department, Los Angeles County Museum of ArtEmmy Lee Wall, Executive Director and Chief Curator, Capture Photography Festival 
The submission fee is $20, which includes a 2024/2025 Capture Photography Festival Society membership and helps cover the costs of the submission system. Please contact info@capturephotofest.com if this fee presents a barrier to submission or if you are already an active member for a waiver.

Should your submission be accepted into the Festival, the information you provide here will be used to create the catalogue and website content for your exhibition. You will have a chance to update this information, and it is subject to editing for length and clarity. 
Please note this submission form does not apply to the Capture Public Art Program or Event Program. The Events Program will open in January 2025 – please check our website and follow us on Instagram (@capturephotofest) for updates.
