Cairde Visual l Open Submission Exhibition taking place at the Hamilton Gallery and Hyde Bridge Gallery Sligo from Sat 04 July to Fri 17 July. Submissions are accepted from Fri 20 March to Fri 15 May midnight. NEW SIZE LIMITS Artwork must be within 55x55 cm including frame for 2D & 55x55x55 cm space for 3D

Terms & Conditions
The exhibition will open on Saturday, 4 July 2026 and close on Saturday, 18 July 2026. Selected artists will be given full delivery and collection details in advance. The current planned handover date is Saturday, 27 June 2026, and the current planned collection date is Saturday, 18 July 2026.
1. How many works can you submit?
You may submit up to three works. Work must not have been shown in Sligo before and must be available for sale. The deadline for submissions is Friday, 15 May 2026. Successful artists will be notified by email by Friday, 5 June 2026.
2. Artwork size limits
All works must fit within the following limits:
2D work: maximum 55 cm x 55 cm, including the frame
3D work: must fit within a 55 cm x 55 cm x 55 cm space.
2D work must be ready to hang
Clip frames are not allowed
Frames must be simple and unobtrusive
Ornate, decorative, gold, metallic, or visually intrusive frames are not allowed
Work that does not meet these presentation requirements may not be accepted for exhibition.
4. Submission fees
€15 for one work
€20 for two works
€25 for three works
Submission fees are non-refundable. Only submissions with the correct fee will be accepted.
5. Images
Photographs must be submitted electronically.
For 2D work, upload one high-quality JPEG
For 3D work, upload 2 to 3 high-quality JPEGs
Images must be clearly labelled with the title of the work only, and not the artist’s name, to support the anonymous selection process.
6. Delivery of selected work
Transport of work to the exhibition is the artist’s responsibility. If your work is selected, you must deliver it on the stated delivery date and follow the delivery instructions provided by Cairde. Work must be delivered unwrapped and with a label attached showing the title of the work and the artist’s name.
7. Collection of unsold work
Unsold work must be collected and signed for on the stated collection date. Any uncollected work will be subject to a storage fee of €5 per week. If work is still not collected after 8 weeks, and no arrangement has been agreed with Cairde, the work will become the property of Cairde.
8. Insurance and care of work
Cairde will take every reasonable care in handling and displaying work. Artists are responsible for arranging their own insurance if they wish to insure their work against loss or damage.
9. Sales and commission
Work sold during Cairde Visual Open Submission is subject to a 30% commission on the selling price. Prices entered by artists must already include this commission.
10. Packing and shipping of sold work
Cairde will coordinate the packing and shipping of sold work where needed. Any packing, postage or shipping costs will be paid by the buyer.
11. Use of images
Cairde reserves the right to use submitted images of selected work, and to photograph exhibited work, for publicity, marketing, press and documentation purposes.
12. Awards
The administration of prizes or awards offered by third parties is not the responsibility of Cairde or Cairde Visual, unless clearly stated otherwise.
13. Acceptance of the Terms & Conditions
By submitting work to Cairde Visual Open Submission 2026, artists are confirming that they have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions, including the delivery and collection arrangements. The decision of the selection panel is final.
