Event Overview
CPAL is hosting its first annual art competition from July 18 - August 8, 2025, in Chetek and surrounding communities. Regional artists are invited to submit one artwork for a chance to win prize money, with artworks displayed in local businesses as pop-up art galleries. Winners are determined by public vote, attracting new patrons to our communities and fostering connections through art appreciation.

Main Contest Rules

Artwork must be displayed in a registered contest venue.
Only original work is eligible. Work created from kits or patterns is not allowed.
Artists are responsible for transportation, installation, insurance, and removal of their entry.
Artwork may be listed for sale; a 15% commission fee applies for sales between July 1 and August 30, 2025.

Key Information

Eligibility: Open to anyone.
Entry Fee: $50 non-refundable entry fee.
Voting: Public voting takes place, and voters must register within 10 miles of the Chetek Lakes Area.
Winner Selection: Winners will be determined by public vote and announced in person at the Awards Ceremony on Aug 10, 2025, then via email no later than Aug 11, 2025.

Grand Prize: $500 / $575
2nd Place: $300 / $350
3rd Place: $125 / $175
Venue hosting grand prize winner: $75 / $150
