Baltimore Jewelry Center Graduate Exhibition 2026 Open Call

BJC Graduate Show Application
This exhibition will feature the work of emerging jewelers and metalsmiths as they complete their formal education while also acting as an archive and spotlight for the work being created by recent graduates. The goal of this annual exhibition is to highlight the work that is being produced by graduating jewelers and metalsmiths using an open and inclusive framework, with the desire to capture the depth and breadth of what is currently being created in the field. 
Participants may submit their completed works via this application to be considered for an exhibition that will be hosted by the Baltimore Jewelry Center from August 14 - September 24, 2026. The deadline for the exhibition application is 11:59 pm on Sunday, June 7th 2026. The application has a fee of $25.
Qualifications for Application: Applicants must have graduated with a Certificate, BA, BS, BFA, MA, or MFA in metals and/or jewelry or a related field of study during the Fall 2025–Spring 2026 academic year.Eligible artworks must be made between 2024 and 2026, and may include jewelry, wearables, and/or small sculptures measuring no larger than 12 inches in any dimension.To participate, each applicant should:submit images of up to 3 pieces of artwork.submit a written statement (no more than 250 words/1250 characters) that briefly describes their artistic practice and the concepts, processes, and material choices that are reflected in the collection of work they’ve submitted. The deadline to apply is 11:59 EST Sunday, June 7, 2026.The exhibition will be on view from August 14, 2026 through September 25, 2026 with an opening reception Friday, August 14th from 5-8pm. Artists will be notified of their application status by July 6, 2026.Accepted works and artist contracts due to the BJC by August 3, 2026.

Award: The best in show award will be a one-month emerging artist residency with the BJC. The timing of the residency will be decided on between the awarded artist and the BJC. More details about residencies at the Baltimore Jewelry Center be found here.
