Call to MCA Artists – February 2025“Arts and Health Exhibition”
Description of Exhibit: Marion Cultural Alliance (MCA), in partnership with Arts in Health Ocala Metro (AIHOM), is excited to announce a call for art for our upcoming exhibition focused on the theme of health and wellbeing. We encourage MCA artist members to submit pieces that reflect the theme of "health" or are results of an arts and health initiative. The AIHOM team will guest-curate the selected works to be displayed during the month of February 2025 at MCA’s Brick City Center for the Arts.The arts can contribute to mental, physical, and community health. We believe that the arts have the power to heal, inspire, and transform, and we are eager to see how artists interpret this vital theme..
Theme & Medium: Artworks centered around health and wellbeing, in any medium that best expresses your vision.
Eligibility: Open to MCA Artist Members (Not a member? Join online at mcaocala.org!)
Submission Format: Each artist may submit two (2) original pieces for consideration. Digital images of the artwork should be submitted in high resolution along with an artist statement for each piece detailing how the piece is related to health and well-being. This statement should provide insight into the inspiration behind the work and its connection to the theme.
Deadline: All entries are to be submitted digitally no later than Sunday, January 26, 2025 by 11:59pm via MCA’s ArtCall platform. No physical or mailed in submissions will be accepted or considered. Participants will be notified of their status by January 31, 2025 via email.

Members Opening Reception: Friday, February 7, 2025 (5 – 6 pm - RSVP at mcaocala.org!)
Exhibit Dates / Location: February 7 - 28, 2025 at Brick City Center for the Arts (23 SW Broadway St)
Deadline: Sunday, January 26, 2025 (by 11:59 pm)
Drop Off Date(s): Saturday, February 1st (11am-4pm) and Monday, February 3rd (10am-4pm)
Pick Up Date(s): Saturday, March 1 (11am-4pm) and Monday, March 3 (10am-4pm)
