Description of Exhibit: Marion Cultural Alliance (MCA), in pARTnership with Marion Senior Services (MSS), invites our creative senior community ages 55+ to submit artworks in any medium that relate to and interpret this year's theme: Living in Color.
Aging is not about slowing down, it's about continuing to grow, explore, create, and thrive. Living in Color celebrates the vibrancy, curiosity, resilience, and momentum that define healthy aging. Through art, we invite participants to share stories of lifelong passions, new adventures, meaningful connections, wellness, creativity, and the many ways we continue to live fully at every stage of life.
Whether your work reflects movement, learning, community, purpose, joy, or personal transformation, we encourage artists to challenge outdated perceptions of aging and showcase the colorful experiences that make life richer with time. This exhibit is a celebration of living boldly, aging actively, and embracing each chapter with enthusiasm and purpose.
Eligibility: MCA Artist Members (Ages 55+)
Mediums: All mediums are encouraged and welcomed!
Entry Procedure: Each artist may submit two (2)
original pieces for consideration. All entries are to be submitted digitally no later than Monday, July 20, 2026, by 11:59 p.m. Please visit our online platform to register and follow the entry process.

Artists’ Reception: Friday, August 7, 2026 (5:00 – 7:00 PM)
Exhibit Dates / Location: August 7 – 29, 2026 at Brick City Center for the Arts (23 SW Broadway St)
Deadline to Enter*: Monday, July 20, 2026 (by 11:59 pm)
Drop Off Date*: Monday, August 3, 2026 (between 10:00 am - 4:00 pm)
Pick Up Date: Saturday, August 29, 2026 (between 11:00 am - 4:00 pm)

***Interested participants must read the Call to Artists and submit their artwork through MCA’s ArtCall platform. Please note that we will not accept any artwork that has not been pre-approved by the Gallery Director & Gallery Committee. Artists will be notified of their status by email by July 29, 2026 by 5pm. Please make sure to read the MCA Submission Guidelines on the next page and confirm the established dates before entering.
