Ideas for the theme

Think metaphor, visual metaphor. That which would be representative or symbolic of something else.Creatures might become All Things or Anything. A locomotive, a storm, a fictional or imaginary being or thing.Great and Small may be a metaphor for Fantasy and Reality, Rich and Poor, Black and White, Bright and Beautiful, Hard and Soft. All Creatures Great and Small encompass everything. Not just the living but All Things whether animate or inanimate, a creature of the imagination. The natural world insects, birds, animals and sea creatures and their interaction with humanity. CREATURE, noun1. That which is created; every being besides the creator, or every thing not self-existent. The sun, moon and stars; the earth, animals, plants, light, darkness, air, water, etc., are creatures.2. In a restricted sense, an animal of any kind; a living being; a beast. In a more restricted sense, man. Thus we say, he was in trouble and no creature was present to aid him.3. That which is produced, formed or imagined; as a creature of the imagination.4. A creature is a living thing: there are flying creatures, sea creatures, and even imaginary creatures, like unicorns.Artworks in a variety of artistic media in the form of paintings, photographs, jewelry and sculpture are invited. Each artist brings their own individual approach to the depiction of creatures and this diversity will make for a thoughtful and interesting exhibition.
