Exhibition: ELEMENTS IN FLUX
A Cross-Cultural Dialogue Between Art, Five Phases, and Sustainability
Location: Peterson House, 16 W 10th St, New York, NY 10011
Dates: May 16–18, 2025

We are now accepting submissions from New York-based artists and designers, as well as those from surrounding areas, for Elements in Flux, a multidisciplinary exhibition exploring the intersections of art, the Five Phases (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water), and contemporary ecological discourse.

This exhibition invites visual interpretations that reflect on environmental transformation—glacial melt, ecosystem shifts, climate resilience—through the conceptual lens of the Five Phases. We welcome works across all media: painting, sculpture, video, installation, design, and beyond. The goal is not to replicate traditional symbolism, but to spark cross-cultural dialogue and new ways of seeing the relationship between humans, nature, and systems of balance.

Artists and designers at all career stages, including students, are encouraged to apply. We’re particularly interested in innovative, interdisciplinary, and culturally reflective responses.

We warmly welcome submissions from individuals of all backgrounds and perspectives. ALT Ally is committed to fostering an inclusive, diverse, and equitable creative environment. We encourage participation from artists and designers of all races, genders, sexual orientations, and backgrounds.

All applicants will be given equal consideration.

No application or other participation fees are required.
