The is an artist call for Minnesota artists to participate in More Than Lit(eracy). Identity-affirming, representation-centered, and artist-driven. More Than Lit is a community-centered art auction that amplifies local illustrators and artists while raising funds to advance Read With Me MN’s mission. Together, we’re working to close the literacy achievement gap by increasing access to culturally relevant texts.
This isn’t your average art auction fundraiser. This event honors the power of representation, creativity, and collective impact. And it’s one of the biggest ways we keep our year-round literacy work thriving.
This is your opportunity to have your work featured, your voice amplified, and your story shared.
To create space for both emerging and established artists, this year’s art auction will feature three categories:
Youth Artists (ages 16–17)
Adult Artists (ages 18+)
Illustrators (18+)
ARTIST CALL: MARCH 1- 31
Artists selected for More Than Lit will be asked to meet with the More Than Lit board for an interview. Artists retain 90% of the item sales.
