Description
Current deadline was May 20, 2025 but we will extend it until June 30, 2025. Goal is to have the sculpture installed downtown in time for our fall festival to feature the sculpture and artist. Our Elkin Main Street Advisory Board is now accepting submissions from artists for this rotating sculpture program. The art will be on display for one year in downtown with an honorarium of $1000.00 towards artist's expenses.
EXHIBITION GUIDELINES
Application Opens: April 15, 2025. Applications due (1st round): May 20, 2025; deadline can be extended if needed. Install timeframe: by September 1, 2025.
Eligibility: To enter, artists must be 18 years of age or older and reside in the U.S.
Theme: Art by local or regional artists; art reflecting the region’s unique heritage, history, natural beauty, trails, or culture.
Submission Guidelines: All submissions must be original, fully completed, and ready for display. • All entries must have been completed in the last 5 years. • Artists may submit a maximum of three entries. • Selected works will be exhibited in designated locations in downtown Elkin. • Works may be for sale but may not be removed until the conclusion of the exhibition.
