Description
Eligible artists are those living in a 50-mile radius of Great Barrington, MA. We are actively seeking inclusivity to all those wishing to apply. There is a non-refundable application fee of $25 for each entry. You may enter up to 5 artworks for consideration. There are no additional exhibition fees if selected.
Childs + Clark Gallery is calling for artists for the opening of our 2026 Season. In light of today’s world, we are looking for original art that encapsulates Hope, Happiness and Resilience. We want to know how you, as an artist, feel right now as expressed through your art.
Open to all visual media, this call invites artists to share their view on today’s
events, from the microcosm of your local town to the broader, global community.
How do you envision hope? What does happiness look like? What symbols of
resilience, move and encourage you as an artist? Do you feel hope, and are you
experiencing a surge of resilience or are you feeling dispirited?
What is the right approach to contemporary art when there’s so much happening all at once? We invite you to reflect on this moment, to respond, challenge, or embrace it through your work. With so much happening in the world today, it is easy to feel overwhelmed, so one might ask: where is all this leading? This exhibition aims to showcase how contemporary artists are navigating and responding to today’s world.
