Online submissions for the Artists Who Teach 2020 juried exhibition at the Charles H. Taylor Visual Arts Center in Hampton, VA are now being accepted at Entrythingy.com.
Submission deadline is Wednesday, February 26th.
The entry fee is $10. Submissions are to be made online through Entrythingy at:

Exhibition Description: Artists Who Teach is an annual juried exhibition presenting the artwork of Hampton’s regional art educators. Awards will be given for the David J. Levinson Best in Show Award ($1000), First ($500), Second ($250) and Third ($100) Places. Additionally, the Best In Show winner is awarded a solo show in the CTVAC Annex Gallery the following year. Artist and educator Clay McGlamory will be this year’s juror. McGlamory taught at Old Dominion University for 19 years and has been teaching at the Governor’s School for the Arts for 28 years. He runs his own press, Half Ass Press, based in Norfolk, and is current President of the Virginia Glass Guild.

Rules and Eligibility: Art teachers who currently teach art in public, private or parochial schools, privately, at art centers, and in colleges and universities in the Virginia Hampton Roads region, the Southside and the Peninsula, may submit up to two original artworks for consideration through the online submission process. Original works of art completed by the artist within the past two years, not previously exhibited at the Charles H. Taylor Visual Arts Center (CTVAC) may be submitted for consideration. (CTVAC reserves the right to refuse artworks that do not meet installation requirements or are otherwise judged unsuitable).

Accepted artworks that are shipped must be in reusable packaging and must include prepaid return shipping labels. Artist and title information must accompany each piece. The sale price on your entries should include a 30% gallery commission. Works may be NFS (Not for Sale). If sold CTVAC will collect the 6% Virginia State Sales tax from the buyer. Artworks will be insured for the sales price (less 30% commission) from the time of delivery until the end of designated pick up dates.
