Art in the Pines: The ith Annual Prescott Plein Air Festival

Calling all Plein Air Painters! Come to the beautiful mountain town of Prescott, Arizona and paint the pine forests, boulder-lined highland lakes and historic architecture.

August 26-30, 2026 - Festival

August 30 - Sept. 11 - Exhibition

The Best of Show winner will be awarded $1,000 and a solo exhibition at a gallery in Prescott.

Other Prizes Include:

$500 for 1st Place

$250 for 2nd Place

$150 for 3rd Place

The Festival will take place from August 26-30, 2026, with a reception and sale at the the YC Prescott Gallery on Sunday, Aug. 30 from 1pm to 4pm.

Artists will receive 50 percent of sales of paintings completed during the Festival.

Artist Submission Period: January 23 - April 30, 2026

Artist Application Fee: $20.

(Submissions fees are used for festival promotion, prizes, and to a reception and art sale to close the festival. Art in the Pines is administered through the Yavapai College Foundation, a nonprofit.)

Artist Notification of Acceptance: Friday, May 15, 2026

Fill out the Art in the Pines: The 7th Annual Prescott Plein Air Festival Artist Application completely, including uploading an artist biography, artist photo, and up to three photos of your plein air artwork.

The submissions will be juried by the Art in the Pines Committe and 15-20 artists accepted for the festival.

Housing: The Art in the Pines Committee will attempt to find host homes or other free accommodations in Prescott for all out-of-town artists.
