5th Annual Watercolor Carson City
Plein air festival to be held August 19-24, 2025
Brought to you by the Brewery Arts Center and Visit Carson City

Participating watercolor artists will paint plein air in and around Carson City, Nevada, August 19-22, 2025 and present work for the 3-day fundraiser auction / exhibits, August 22-24. Finale auction and awards reception to be held on Sunday, August 24, 1-4pm.

Exhibit & Auction Location: Brewery Arts Center, 449 W. King St., Carson City, NV 89703
Charity: Proceeds from the auction fundraiser will be donated to the Brewery Arts Center
Fundraiser Auction: Three evenings;
1) Friday, Aug 22, VIP Ticketed Reception, times TBA.
2) Saturday, Aug 23, Free entry. Exhibit will be open in conjunction with the Brewery Arts Levitt open-air concert, 7-10 pm.
3) Artist Awards & Reception: Finale fundraiser auction - Sunday, August 24, 2025, 1-4pm.

Competition
Requirements and Specifications
Entry fee of $60 includes first competition entry and free attendance to three artist auction/reception events.If selected to participate, artists may submit up to three (3) plein air only entries FOR COMPETITION ($20 each for 2nd and 3rd entries).An additional three (3) entries may be submitted for sale at auction ($10 each entry fee)Submissions must be presented with mat and frame.All entries must be created on a paper surface using allowable water media. Competition entries must be created PLEIN AIR ONLY during the event dates, August 19-22, 2025. No photographic assistance allowed during creation.All entries must be available for auction sales, Aug 22-24, 2025.See Terms & Conditions or Prospectus in Detail Page for specifics.

Update 7/19/25: Artists may submit an EXTRA MATTED predominantly plein air painting for sale with EACH paid entry. No additional charge. Matted entries will be offered for sale (not for competition or auction bidding) in flip-through print racks. Criteria:Submitted  in mat package to includeArchival white or off-white mat,  backing foam board, fitted cellophane protective cover, label with price, title, artist name affixed to front.\Minimum sale price at least $100 (may be higher)Event painting image size restrictions still apply (From 64 to 330 square inches. Mat width not to exceed 4" on any side.Predominantly PLEIN AIR, completed after January 1, 2022Signed confirmation for meeting event specifications affixed on back. Not completed under instruction
