48th Annual Juried Art Exhibit

Valley Art Center presents our 48th Annual Juried Art Exhibit. Artists living within a 250-mile radius of Chagrin Falls are invited to submit artwork for consideration to this prestigious annual exhibition. Each artist may submit up to 3 pieces in any art medium. Historically we have received approximately 300-400 pieces of artwork, including 2-D and 3-D. The art is juried to approximately 100 works in painting, drawing, fiber arts, jewelry, sculpture, photography and more! Over $1,000 in cash is awarded for Best of Show, 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place and several community sponsored awards including the Hardy Watercolor Award and the Phyllis Lloyd Memorial Award. 

Entry Fee: $15 a piece, up to three (3) pieces per artist

What you will need

One digital image of each art piece, up to three submissions. These must be good photographs of the actual, original art work you want to enter to potentially exhibit. We recommend 3d artists submit a single photomosaic image for each submitted piece featuring multiple views of each submitted piece in a single image.
Digital images must be saved in the JPG (JPEG) file format.
Your pictures should be no smaller than 960 pixels and no larger than 4600 pixels on the longest side.
They should be no bigger than 4 Mb in file size.
Please make sure you are settled on titles, medium descriptions and prices. The way you identify yourself and your work in the submission form is what we utilize when we present your information on art labels and in program listings. Valley Art Center is not responsible for misspellings or incorrect information arising from inaccurately entered information.

Entering artwork submissions
After logging in or creating a new account, you will Add a new submission. You will fill out the form with Category, Title, Dimensions (height, width, and depth), Sale price (all work entered must be for sale for this exhibit), and Medium for your first artwork submission. You will then pay your entry fee and upload an Attachment that is the photo of your artwork. If you would like to enter more than one work of art, please upload and pay for each entry separately.

Notification of jury results; Tuesday, October 15 by 4 pm. Please do not call or email VAC for results.

Artwork delivery

Shipping—please plan for shipped art to arrive by October 26, 2019 or earlier and include a prepaid return shipping label inside your package.
Thursday drop off, October 24, 4–6 p.m.
Friday drop off, October 25, 8–10 a.m.
Saturday drop off, October 26, 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
