Description of Exhibit:
Marion Cultural Alliance presents Horse Fever Artists Then & Now, a special exhibition honoring the artists whose creativity helped shape Ocala’s most iconic public art project. From the original herd to later generations, Horse Fever has become a beloved symbol of community spirit, collaboration, and artistic excellence.
This commemorative exhibit launches MCA’s 25th Anniversary Year, celebrating 25 years of supporting artists, advancing creativity, and enriching Ocala’s cultural landscape. We invite all past Horse Fever artists to reconnect, share their stories, and showcase artwork inspired by their experience with this treasured community project.
Eligibility:
We invite and encourage all past Horse Fever artists — from any year, herd or format — to participate. Artists working in 2D and 3D mediums are welcome. Eligible work may include, but is not limited to: paintings, drawings, photography, sculpture, mixed media, collage, textiles, glass, metal, wood, or ceramics.
Who’s Eligible:
All artists who participated in any previous Horse Fever public art projects commissioned through Marion Cultural Alliance.
