Call Description:
All artists in New England are invited to submit up to sx pieces for this annual event at The Livery , a beautiful display gallery in a historic building in Sunapee Harbor, New Hampshire. This is a fine art exhibit displaying the diverse and creative talent of the NE region and the theme is  Landscapes and Wildlife .Naturally New England will continue as the umbrella title for this year’s exhibition, curated into three thematic sections that reflect the emotional experience of life and landscape in our region: Serenity, Joy, and Rooted.. Artists are invited to submit work that captures not only the visual character of New England, but also the feeling it evokes—creating a cohesive yet varied exhibition that offers viewers multiple ways to connect with place, memory, and mood.

Serenity — Quiet moments when the land seems to breathe—snow-covered fields, early morning light, fog over lakes, and landscapes that convey stillness, calm, and contemplation.
Joy —The warmth, color, and vitality of New England’s seasons—vibrant autumn foliage, spring blossoms, sunlit summer landscapes, and scenes that evoke energy, delight, and celebration.                                                      Rooted—Places shaped by time and memory—weathered barns, village streets, harbors, stone walls, and landscapes that reflect the enduring character and deep sense of belonging found throughout New England.
                                                                             Guidance for Artists
When selecting work to submit, consider not only the subject of your piece but the feeling or atmosphere it conveys. This year’s exhibition focuses on three emotional dimensions of New England—Serenity, Joy, and Rooted—and we encourage artists to think about how their work reflects one of these moods. Pieces that express a clear sense of place, light, season, or lived experience in New England often resonate most strongly with viewers. Whether through quiet winter landscapes, vibrant seasonal color, or enduring places shaped by time and memory, we invite work that captures both the beauty and emotional character of this region                                                Our goal is to provide artists with the best venue at the best time of the summer in the middle of the Sunapee vacation region.
