You will receive an email confirmation of your submission, so if you DO NOT receive this confirmation, your application was not submittedOur Mission StatementMentoring emerging artists, collaborating with the community and artists, bringing together the community through the arts. We are also passionate about bringing the arts to the public: showcasing the many artists who live and work in our region and bringing work from further afield to a local audience. We feel it's vital to ensure that we support both artists and art lovers and provide a vibrant venue to bring both together. We want to make arts experiences accessible to audiences who love the arts as well as to people who might not have traditionally been exposed to the arts but who would enjoy them!About the Healing Arts GalleryThe Healing Arts Gallery at the District One Hospital showcases local artists for the employees and patients at the hospital. Artists are invited to display their work. All works can be for sale. The show rotates quarterly in January, April, July and October. Art can be either 2D or 3D as long as it is able to be hung on a wall. There are NO pedestals. Insurance is provided by the artist and breakage or theft is not the responsibility of the hospital or Straight River Arts.
