Description

The 6th Annual Groff Exhibition will be held  at The San Diego Art Institute in Balboa Park. The exhibition will be on view from June 1-15, 2019  with a Student Reception and Awards Ceremony at City Gallery on Saturday June 15, 2019  from 1-3pm (awards begining at 2pm), following will be an  Educators Social at Panama 66 from 3-5pm.

April 15, 2019 - Call for Entry Open on Art Call

April 30, 2019 - Final Day to enter Artwork on Art Call

May 13, 2019 - Teachers notified of Works Juried in 

May 14-24, 2019 (M-F 10am-5pm)- Drop off at SDAI (details will be sent with notification)

June 1-15, 2019 - Exhibition on View at SDAI
June 15, 2019- Closing and Awards Reception at SDAI 1-3pm (awards begin at 2pm)
*All artwork must be taken home with the student or each teacher must take the work with them*
June 15, 2019- Educator's Social at Panama 66 3-5pm
 

 

Entry Eligibility Rules

$30 Entry fee for non-CAEA/NAEA members. $0 fee for CAEA/NAEA members
Open to all media, no size restrictions, 2D, 3D and installation.

Open to all high school students grades 9-12 in San Diego County.

Entries must be submitted digitally by teachers for online jurying HERE.

Artistic Integrity Policy

Work that makes use of photographs, published images, and or other artists/ works, must show creative development beyond duplication.  This may be demonstrated through manipulation of formal qualities, design, and/or concept of the original work.  It is unethical, constitutes plagiarism, and often violates copyright law to simply copy an image (even in another medium) that was created by someone else.  PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT STUDENT WORKS THAT ARE COPIES OF WORKS CREATED BY OTHER ARTISTS.  Any works found to be in violation of this policy will be rejected from the show, even if after the jury process.  TEACHERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ARTISTIC INTEGRITY OF THEIR SUBMISSIONS.

Complete the teacher registration.

Complete entries for up to 6 student works and upload up to three digital images of each work.

Teachers will be notified by email of works accepted after jurying by May 13, 2019.
